How the Mentoring Program Works
- Apply to be a mentor here: https://tradecouncil.org/become-a-mentor/
- Attend an online session with an ITC staff member so we can talk about your expertise and interest and work out how best to profile you and match your goals with the mentoring program.
- Participate as the guest speaker in a virtual mentoring day.
On this day we will invite businesses with specific challenges (whose needs match your own experience) to come along and ask questions and participate in an informal session with you.
From there you will be able to select 1 or more companies for regular mentoring sessions. (Don't worry - you can decline to mentor those who are not a 'fit' for your expertise and interest(s)). - Once approved as a mentor we will list you on the ITC website together with your photo, biography and company information and provide 4 x email shots (once every three months) featuring you and your company to our newsletter subscriber list (2.4 million CEOs globally).
Other general mentoring information:
- Mentoring is a great way to get your name and organization heard of. We market our mentors to 2.4 million newsletter recipients every quarter and will be producing a special page on our web portal highlighting each mentors information, experience and organizations details.
- Mentoring should be held at a set time every week, unless otherwise agreed between both mentors and mentees.
- Mentoring can be done online using our virtual platform or offline. The choice is yours.
- Mentoring will usually involve anywhere from 2-8 hours per month.
- You can choose who you wish to mentor from a list of applicants.
- You can do group mentoring or 1:1 mentoring - just let us know your preference.
